Hi and Welcome.
Osteoporosis is a health condition that affects millions of people world wide and there are a variety of factors that are thought to contribute to it.
One such factor is your diet. It is well known that to help prevent Osteoporisis you need to be getting Calcium from your diet or via a Calcium supplement. Calcium is one of the building blocks of bones and increasing your intake of Calcium will help reduce a loss of bone density.
In order for your body to best absorb Calcium from your diet, as it isn't readily absorbable, you need to have Vitamin D and Magnesium in your diet. These 2 elements help the body to better absorb Calcium.
Another way in which studies are showing that your diet can contribute to Osteoporosis is how your diet affects the acidity of your body. If the foods you eat cause your body to become slightly more acidic then this has an effect on your bone density.
There are many ways in which Osteoporosis can be prevented, but what if you already have it?
If you already have Osteoporisis is there anything you can do?
